Ghost are commonly known in all parts of the country and  it comes with a variety of preception,understanding and believes based on culture, origin, country and religion.Ghost can be define as dark spirits. Ghost are basically apparition ,sighting or manifestation of the entity from the spiritual world beyond our reach. In the religion of Islam ,ghost are referred as Jin.The version of ghost is different based  on  the different culture in a community. Among the Malay community,ghost is very much refer to the deaths spirits and black magic.For example,”Puntianak”.In the Malay culture,“Puntianak” is believed to be the apparition of a lady or woman who died during her pregnancy or when giving birth.The myth says it loves to sucks human blood, flying from the tree and bray. While,“hantu raya” and “pocong” is a ghost linked to black magic practice,where the black magic practitioner or mostly shaman use it either to get easy money or to protect one’s family.This individuals believe that they can seek help from the other world.In Islamic context ,believe in superstition matter is polytheism.However  still,in our opinion ,this is all reincarnation and devil’s action towards human.In  addition ,the media influence in electronic  form of show which reflect the ghost story and how ghost looks like.They are even reality television show about ghost encounter and the mistic world.In our opinion,believing  in superstition might give bad effect to our faith and our confident.

      Both story tells a tale about two family from two different version which is Thailand and Malaysian.The family were very close and have strong bonding relationship.They plan to marry their children together as one of the family have a son while the wealthy family has a daughter. From small, both children were best friend.In the Thailand version,the girl, Lukked and in the Malaysian version, Fazira was from a wealthy family,while the man Jetsada and Yusry respectively.In the story these guys was sent to be brought up and study overseas since they were small.20 years pastby,and both families plans to make these couple meet up.Jetsada and Yusry was very shock during the reunion where they meet each other after 20 years,as their wife to be is not like what they had imagined. Lukked and Fazira  has been overweight and they find them unattractive compared to their admires who is also young successful and trendy lady. Jetsada and Yusry tried many ways to ruin the wedding and it hurted Lukked and Fazira so much that, they plan to seek revenge to teach the guys a lesson.After Jetsada's and Yusry's father know that the wedding was cancelled,he got an heart attack and died.His last wish is for his son to marry Lukked and Fazira respectively,as they owed her father so much.Jetsada and Yusry really regret with their action and try to find Lukked and Fazira.After a few years they found a girl who really look like Lukked and Fazira and has become a famous supermodel, but this time Lukked and Fazira has turn them down.Both guy felt very sad. Lukked and Fazira felt really guilty and tell them the truth that the supermodel actually is their relative who is helping them to seek for revenge.Finally,all the effort and pain paid off when Jetsada and Yusry realises who is actually their dream girl and the couple got marry.

       The setting is different as Cinta Kolestrol was filmed in Malaysia and Cholestrol Teerak was filmed in Thailand.The Malaysian actors are Yusry and Erra Fazira while the Thailand actors is Wathara Tungkapraset and Matinee Kimpayom.

Lukked and Fazira

-Both girl  in the film’s role can be as describe as a happy go lucky person.They are strong and determine.This was shown in the scene where they have been humiliated by Jetsada and Yusry about their weight and body size.So, they decide to give them a lesson .Besides, they also very smart and kind hearted person.Though they come from a wealthy family,they are not proud.Both also do not care about updating they attire and fashion which make them less trendy and does not look attractive in appearance.

-These two guy plays a roles as a very handsome and smart person.This is because both of them were sent to study in overseas and favoured by many girls beautiful girls.They also a very charismatic person as both are responsible to run the company owned by Lukked's and Fazira’s family business.They also can be describe as a choosy person, where they rejected to get marry with these girl as they find them not attractive.

    Baby dumping can be define leaving alone or discarding, for an extended period of time, a child who is younger than 12 months of age in a public or private setting with the intent to dispose of the child. Nowadays, as we all can see, the statistics about this social probleam has become more serious and critical. The main cause of this problem is when many young couples committed close proximity and resulted in unwanted baby.
     There are a lots of factors that can causes baby dumping. Family problems, facing pressure in their study for students, influence by their friends and many more. Many younger will find their own solution in solving their problems. Mostly they will choose to have soulmate. This is because, some problems can not be solving by sharing with family or friends. This kind of persons think that they need more than friends. They need someone that can make they happy in their own way. In my opinion, in expressing their thankfull to their partner, mostly they are willing to do anythings without have a long thinking about what will happen in the future because of what they are doing.
     As we all know, baby dumping is a social crisis and had a chronic increase as many cases are occuring in Malaysian society. The baby dumping issue has arise when the women had her unplanned pregnancy and been pressured by the question about the status of the baby. Some women that facing unwanted pregnancy and lack of information may be unaware of the posibilities of foster care or adoption tends to commit this unethical behavior. This issue will increase as they feel that they are not yet ready for being a mother and taking a mother responsibilities. Some of them might also feel fear or scare of being rejection by their parents and comunity if they are found to have a baby before marriage. This cases are getting futher increase when there are some women that being rejected by their boyfriend and make them scare that she will not be able to look after the child alone. All of this make this issues getting more serious lately.

      Every person in this world has thier own bad stories. Not all people are naturally have a good behavior. It is not too late to get change for a better life. Parents should aware about this problem. Proper education should be given to the youngster in order to prevent them from committing the crime over again.  Every generation should always remember how valuable life, if one who able to fully understand thus one will not easily want dumping a human being who may can be anything in the future. Always remember, they are our hope, so we should love, care and protect them.

THE IBAN TRIBE

Cultural diversity is the quality of diverse or different cultures that exist in one place. Culture is a way of life that is formed so that peoples can interact and adapt with community and environment. According to Mohd Taib Osman (1988), culture is an intellectual completeness that can satisfy the biological and social need and also can adapt with surrounding.

Malaysia is one of the countries that have races with their own culture and customs. Malaysia is also the only country that acknowledges the existence of the races. Although Islam is the national religion in Malaysia, however other religions never be ignored. Every festival is celebrated massively such as Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha by Muslim, Chinese New Year and Wesak Day by Chinese and Taipusam and Depavali by Indians. Even though they are from a different races and religion, Malaysian tends to celebrate other festival. They will be visiting their friends from other races during the festive season. This is showing the closeness between Malaysian.

There are many ethnics that exist in Malaysia. One of the ethnics is Iban. Iban is the largest community that located in Sarawak. Although the time is revolving, the Iban never forget the traditions that they inherited from their ancestor. One of the traditions is they will kept Tajau as their treasures that they get from barter system. Gawai festival is the major festivals in Iban ethnics. They 1qmaking the major decisions in their tribe. In my opinion, even the Iban peoples become more modern, they never forget their origin. Although nowadays they tend to stay in the house that are modern, but they wil back to “Rumah Panjang” back on every time they celebrate Gawai festival. They are also having a unique cultures and customs. 

FAIRY TALE

Everybody is sure having their favorite fairy tale. It is same with me. I’m also having a fairy tale that I like. Actually the fairy tale is Rapunzel which is origins from German that become the story tale that are recited by parents to their children. Rapunzel is a princess that has been kidnapped by a woman called Mother Gothel. During her pregnancy, Rapunzel’s mother, the Queen was ill. She has been told to drink some tea that is made up from a magical flower which is belongs to Mother Gothel who has discovered the flower centuries ago. Mother Gothel was using the flower to make her continuously young and beautiful. After the Queen gives born to Rapunzel, her hair happened to have the power of the magical flower. Mother Gothel kidnapped and hidden Rapunzel in a tower to prevent her from been discovered by the King. The reason why I love this fairy tale is because Rapunzel herself. She is a girl who is full of energy, brilliant, kind and playful. Her love story is also beautiful. She tend to quarrelled with Eugene, who is a thief that helping Rapunzel to escape from the tower to see the festival of light that she always witnessed from far without realise that festival is conducted for her, the missing princess and lastly they are fall in love. The song in this story is also nice such as the “I’ve Got a Dream” and “I See the Light” songs that she sang with Eugene.

 The next fairy tale is snow white. Each fairy tale has their  own important. Mostly, the important of the fairy tale is more for children but the adult also can get the important from the fairy tale. The fisrt important in my opinion is the fairy tale teach us story. This is because, for sow white, it has a simple plot story that make us more easy to understant the flow of the story. As we can understant the story, we also can diffrentiate between fiction and non-fiction. Moreover, from the fairy tale, snow white, we also can build emotional resiliency. This is proved when snow white dead and will live back if she can get her true love kiss. Fairy tales also show real life issues in a fantastical scenario. It is showed in snow white, her step mother is willing to do anything to ruin her life when she has to do all the chores even she is a princes. Sometimes, from snow white, we can learn how to handle our own problem. We can learn from the good character  of snow white such as hardworking, nice, polite, and all of that can motivate us. It is also can teach us the lesson. From the story of snow white, we already know that her step mother is an evil person. She willing to poison snow white. At the end, she get a bad ending because of her bad attitude. For me, all fairy tale have their own moral lesson that is very usefull to us.

 Poverty can be defined as a state where a person,community or as in this context of world poverty, refers to a country which is in a state of being extremely poor or being inferior in quality or insufficient in amount.( main definition from Google).In this era of globalization,many countries are developing to become the 1st class country such as Japan.However,the world poverty is becoming very serious issue that needs to be taken consideration.Statistics have proved that the highest amount of people live only with $2.50 per day is estimated around 3 billion nationwide.The saddest part is that 22000 children each day die due to poverty that is approximately 3.5 deaths per minutes.

 Poverty results is millions of death due to hunger and disease each year.Besides,the country struck with poverty also lack in infrastructure such as hospital and clinic for medical benefits as well as school for the children to learn.Based on the studies conducted in 2011,the world's poorest country is Congo followed by Ethiopia.A little bit of something sunshine group members would to share.Nearly 1/4 of the human population live without electricity.It seems like a small percentage but the actual amount is much more bigger people in a population.Just imagine how the younger generation and the elderly live their life as they are lack on the essentials such as electricity,food and medical attention.It takes two hands to clap.We have to work together as a nation to help those people who are in poverty to ensure that they have a better life.Country such as Congo, and others should be given help in form of medical attention,food,infrastructure.Education to the younger generation in the country is very essential so that they can rule their country on day with the knowledge they gained.Education can make a huge difference.Sunshine members hope very much that we together can put a stop towards world poverty(.pictures courtesy of mysosiologycalwindow.blogspot.com and theblackinventer.com)

ABUSING AND KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE

Abusing cases have been reported daily in the media,widely spread in the newspaper,internet and other social network such as rape cases involving children and women,physical abuse,sexual harassment at work place and many more.Abusing is defined as a use to bad effect or purpose or to make excessive and habitual use.(reference from the definition in Google).For instance, the habit of an individual with alcohol and drug related.There are few categories of abuse which a person may encounter,that is emotional abuse(verbal abuse),stalking(following/harassing),financial abuse(excess account and control over one's financial or banking issues),physical abuse(causing injury) and much more.The sunshine team members believe that,abusing should be curb as it can cause a tremendous effect on the victim.The abuse victim tend to become very depressed,lost of appetite,likes to be alone,traumatized and live in fear of their life.In some extreme cases,the victim no longer have the will to live and commit suicide.On the other hand,killing or murder is also one of the top cases we hear  making to the headline of the newspaper each day.Baby is being abused to death,family members are killed due to jealousy,family affairs,personal affairs and even under the influence of drug. Most of the victim who lost their life are innocent people who are just caring out their daily routine.One the tragic incident of killing innocent people happen last year in Connecticut where 27 people were killed where 20 of them were children.They were shot in Sandy Hook Elementary school where the bullet hit them three to seven times and two of the bodies were hit at a close range.As we are the era of modernization and globalization,the cases of abusing and killing innocent people should not happen.We must be aware of the issues happening and take precaution as well as step to overcome so that our society would feel safe and lead a prosperous life.
